Rose May Chambers

July 3, 1918 — March 3, 2016

TREMONTON- Rose May Hecox Chambers, 97, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 3, 2016 in Elwood, UT. She was born on July 3, 1918 in Kendall, Wyoming to Florence May Hicks and Robert Spencer Hecox.

Rose was raised near what she thought was the most beautiful place on earth, Green River Lake, Wyoming. She married Lester E. Chambers in Ft. Collins, Colorado on June 7, 1938. Together they had and raised five children.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working in her yard and she loved flowers. She was a beautiful seamstress and worked at Tremonton Sports Wear, Bee Industry and Brigham Apparel.

Rose is survived by one daughter, Linda (Ray) Brown; one son, Larry (Joyce) Chambers and daughter-in-law Janet (Wayne) Chambers; 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester; 3 children, Wayne, Judy, and Kenny; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr. Chad Merrell and home care angels, Jill, Monte and Cassy.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. - Tremonton) at 11:00 am. with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 am. There will also be a viewing on Tuesday evening, March 8, from 6-8 pm, also at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
