Samuel Allen Rose, 62, passed away on June 17, 2026, while doing what he loved. He was born on October 4, 1963 in Tremonton, Utah, to Norman Henry Rose and Velva Lee Rose.
Sam was raised in the Bear River area and graduated from Bear River High School before earning his Associate’s Degree from ITT College. Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, loyalty, and dedication. Sam spent the majority of his life behind the wheel. He spent 42 years driving truck, working for John Farms Trucking and most currently Foreland Refinery. He was especially proud of the new Peterbilt truck he got in 2020, logging 720,326 miles in six years. Sam took great pride in his truck, spending countless hours keeping it polished and immaculate. Whether parked in the yard or rolling down the highway, he made sure it was one of the cleanest and shiniest trucks on the road. Those who worked alongside him knew him as a dependable driver who remained loyal and committed to every employer throughout his life.
On September 12, 1987, Sam married the love of his life, Kathryn Christiansen Rose in Garland, Utah. They were later sealed in the Logan Utah Temple on November 25, 1989. Together they built a loving home and raised their family in Tremonton, where they were active members of the Tremonton 3rd Ward.
Sam was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in São Paulo, Brazil. He loved serving others and found great joy in his church callings, especially teaching Primary and serving in the bishopric.
Nothing brought Sam greater happiness than his family. He treasured attending his children’s and grandchildren’s activities and rarely missed an opportunity to cheer them on. He enjoyed reading history, puttering in his yard, and spending time with those he loved most. His grandchildren were a special source of joy in his life, and he loved making memories with them.
Sam is survived by his devoted wife, Kathryn Rose; his children, Sami, Tyler & Kelsey, Travis & Camisha, and Sadie; and his beloved grandchildren, Haley, Kolt, Kessler, Palmer, Ruger, Jeter, and Mickey. He is also survived by his siblings, Deann, Nathan, Andy, Wayne, Ellan, Eric, and Arlin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Velva Rose; his sister, Yvonne Burningham; his brother, Paul Rose; and his father-in-law, Sammy Allen Christiansen.
A viewing will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Tremonton 3rd Ward building. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the Garland Cemetery.
