Sheryl Gae Hadfield Bronson (82) passed away on May 11, 2019 at Our House Assisted Living surrounded by her family. She was born on July 11, 1936 in Tremonton, Utah to John Henry and Louisa Hancock Hadfield. Sheryl married Byron Wilcox Bronson on January 1, 1955 and was later sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple on June 19, 1993. Byron passed away on September 28, 2018.
She grew up in Tremonton, Utah and parts of Idaho, and graduated from Bear River High School. After spending a short time in California, she lived out the rest of her married life in Tremonton. In 1992 Sheryl retired from ATK (Thiokol) after 38 years of work.
Sheryl was the secretary of the Box Elder County Rodeo, a member of the Travel Club, Board Member at Members First Credit Union, and part of Business and Professional Women. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in the first ward Relief Society. She also loved to bowl, play softball, go camping, cook, and spend time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her daughter, Patti Stover; son, Scott Bronson (Laurie); six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sister, Myrna Smith.
Sheryl is preceded in death by her husband, Byron Bronson; parents, John and Louisa Hadfield; five brothers; seven sisters; and son-in-law, Randy Stover.
Service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11a.m. with viewings held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 6-7:30 p.m. and prior to the funeral on Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. All services will be held at the Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N. 100 E. Tremonton).
