Sterling "Hummer" Ruel Robbins

Sterling Ruel Robbins, peacefully departed this life on May 19, 2025, in Brigham City, Utah. Born on June 28, 1936, to Ruel and Lucille Scoffield Robbins, his life was a tapestry woven with love, family, and cherished memories.

He attended Bear River High School.

On October 13, 1960, Sterling married the love of his life, Faye Udy Robbins. Their bond was one of deep affection until her passing on March 29, 2002. Together, they created a warm and nurturing home in Tremonton, Utah, where Sterling continued to build a legacy of kindness and dedication, especially after retiring from Box Elder County Road.

A man of simple pleasures, Sterling found joy in camping trips and scenic rides, often sharing laughter and stories with his loved ones.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sterling leaves behind a loving family, including his daughters, Jodie (Fred) and Gerilei (Connie); three treasured grandchildren, Katie (Chris), Daniel, and Chelsea (Todd); and ten great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life: Treyson, Saint, Bayler (Dee), Karli (Kaden), Addison (Robert), Breckyn, Cache, Stockton, Bostyn, and Dallas. Additionally, a great-great-grandchild is expected to arrive in November, a beautiful continuation of his legacy. He is also survived by his three sisters, Darlene, Charlotte, and Peggy (Wayne) and friend Adrain Tolman

Sterling is reunited in peace with those who have preceded him in death, including his beloved parents, wife, son Terry, and baby daughter.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Noon with a viewing held prior from 10-11:30 A.M. All services will be held at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton). Interment will take place at the Riverview Cemetery (175 E 1200 S- Tremonton). The service will be livestreamed and can be found below. Sterling requested casual attire at the service.

As we remember Sterling, we celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family. He will be profoundly missed but cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.
