Susan Leah Ravsten Miller

February 27, 1960 — July 7, 2022

Our cherished wife, mother and grandma Susan Leah Ravsten Miller returned to her Heavenly Father’s arms on July 7, 2022 from her home surrounded by her loving family.

Susan began her earthly journey February 27, 1960 in Ogden, Utah to Scott and LaReeda Ravsten. Susan was the fifth of seven children and sister to Shirley Ann, Kurtis, Kelly, Kevin, Shelly and Shawna.  She loved her family and shared many amazing stories of their lives with her family and friends.

Susan met her cowboy, Kent, while she was a waitress at the CrossX (now JC’s) in Tremonton.  They were married September 25, 1981.  They made it official a few years later by being sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan temple September 25, 2009.  Kent and Susan loved to support their grandchildren in all of their various activities! It was a fun topic of conversation as Kent thought she spoiled them too much and Susan never could spoil their grandchildren enough.  They loved to be with each other and enjoyed activities such as riding their horses and playing games together. They were blessed to be the parents of Shantell, Sheri and Jason. But truly we, as their children, were blessed to have her as our amazing beautiful mother!

Grandma Susie was her favorite title in life and she held that title with a huge badge of honor.  She lived to love her eight beautiful grandkids more than anything in this life and in return they love her with all of their hearts! The family held a special tradition every time they would have to leave each other by singing “You are My Sunshine” to one another.  Grandma Susie will forever be the sunshine in their lives as they will all have so many memories to cherish as they can in turn emulate her sunshine with the world.

Susan was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ and the Plan of Salvation. Her favorite calling was serving in the primary as she loved her little primary children. She found great joy in attending the temple and the knowledge that her family will be together forever. She loved sharing the joy the gospel brought to her life with others. Susan’s greatest talent was the love, compassion and service she showed to her family and friends!  She also enjoyed painting, crafting and decorating. She had the gift to make everything around her beautiful and everyone around her feel so loved!

Susan had a beautiful reunion in heaven with her mother and father, sister Shirley Ann Doutre, brother Kurtis Ravsten, nephew Clifford Doutre, and parents-in-law, Job & DeNora Miller. She will be greatly missed by: her loving husband Kent Miller of Riverside, UT; children, Shantell & Aaron Staiger of Royse City, TX; Sheri & Kellen Donnell of Honeyville, UT; Jason & April Miller of Perry, UT; grandchildren, Thayden Staiger, Trevin Staiger, Traeson Staiger, Kynzlee Miller, Tyce Miller, Torbyn Miller, Lila Donnell & Tayte Miller. She was also survived by siblings: Kevin Ravsten of West Seattle, WA; Kelly & Avis Ravsten of Duvall, WA; Shelly & Edward Tarbet of Plymouth, UT; and Shawna & Troy Harris of North Ogden, UT; in-laws: Wendy Ravsten of Brigham City, UT; Barbara & Dale Barnhurst of Fillmore, UT and Mont & Beverley Miller of Fielding, UT.
