Sylvia Lynn Greenhalgh

Sylvia Lynn Greenhalgh, 66, of Tremonton Utah passed away peacefully in her home on September 13, 2025. Born on August 6, 1959, in Evanston, Wyoming, Lynn was the beloved daughter of Morris and Sylvia Clawson.

She married the love of her life, Kyle Greenhalgh, on November 3, 1990, in Perry, Utah. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and strong family values. Lynn lived in various places throughout her life including but not limited to Mantua, Brigham City, and Tremonton, Utah.

Lynn went to Box Elder High School, and spent much of her life in service to others. She worked at McKinley Elementary and later retired from a career she adored in 2024 from the Box Elder County Jail, where she served as a cook.

She had a deep love for life’s simple joys like going on road trips, loved doing puzzles, and sharing heartfelt conversations on the back porch. She also found joy in the kitchen, where her talent for cooking and her love of feeding others brought comfort and warmth to family and friends alike. She cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as often as she could and was honored in being their grandmother. Lynn was proud to be involved in ROCT and FFA during her life as well.

Lynn is survived by her loving husband, Kyle Greenhalgh, and her beloved children: Jackie Checketts, Cindy Leatham, Cody Roberts, Tina Collom, Samantha Weaver, and Roger Greenhalgh. She leaves behind 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four sisters, and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Sylvia Clawson, her brother-in-law Marty Seber, and her grandparents.

Lynn will be remembered for her warm heart, selflessness, strong spirit, and unwavering love for her family. She would do anything for anyone who was in need, always offering a helping hand or a listening ear. Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and devotion will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 11 A.M. Viewings will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5-7 P.M. and prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 A.M. All services will be held at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton).  Interment will take place in the Garland Cemetery.
