Val R. Udy, age 75, passed away on July 18, 2025, at LDS Hospital. He was born on May 18, 1950, in Tremonton, Utah, to Delose and Phyllis Udy.
On October 13, 1979, Val united in marriage with Mary Bickmore Udy in Corinne, Utah. Together, they built a loving family and cherished life.
Throughout his life, Val resided in Riverside and Brigham City, Utah and graduated from Bear River High School. Val dedicated 29 years of service at Thiokol, earning the esteemed NASA Silver Snoopy award for his exceptional contributions.
Val was an active member of the community, participating in the Old Ephraim Mountain Men, the Malad River Muzzle Loaders, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. His passion for life, family, and fellowship was evident in all he did.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Mary Udy; sons, Jeramy and Brandon; sisters, Beverly (Ron) Roybal and Tamara (Tom) Maier; brothers, Gaylen (Danna) Udy and Jim (Maraline) Udy; as well as grandchildren, Zeke, Delilah, and Harper, along with numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews who were dear to him.
Val was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Barbara (Don) Vanderhoof.
A memorial service to honor Val's life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 1:00 P.M., with a visitation held prior from 12:00 to 12:45 P.M. All services will be held at Rudd Funeral Home- Tremonton (111 N 100 E- Tremonton). Family and friends are invited to share their cherished memories during this open mic service. Following the service, interment will be held at the Riverside Cemetery.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the ICU staff at LDS Hospital for their compassionate care. Val will be deeply missed, but his legacy will continue through the lives he touched.
