William Thomas Waddoups

August 29, 1980 — May 9, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Thomas Waddoups, our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. Will left this world far too soon on Friday May 9, 2025, surrounded by family following injuries sustained in a tragic accident.

Will’s life was a beautiful reflection of love, forgiveness, and joy. Known for his unwavering devotion to his family and friends, he was the kind of man who showed up—not just for the big moments, but for the everyday ones that truly mattered. His home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and endless stories, and he made sure every person felt seen and heard.

He had a remarkable sense of humor that lit up every room. His laughter—infectious, deep, and full of life—was the kind that made others laugh just by hearing it. Will had a gift for turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories with his quick wit and genuine spirit.

Will was also a man of deep passions with a love for the outdoors. He found peace and purpose in nature—whether he was camping at the Greys, trail riding on his dirt bike, snowboarding, wakeboarding, or feeling the freedom of the open road on his souped-up Harley. He had a hands-on spirit, always tinkering, building, or fixing something while listening to his favorite tunes. He loved working with his hands and his mind, especially when it came to mechanical things, and took pride in creating and understanding how things worked. He loved to take something simple and turn it into something extraordinary.

More than anything, Will was a man of great compassion and forgiveness. He saw the best in people and offered second and third chances without hesitation. His heart was wide enough to carry the burdens of others and he was always ready to listen, comfort, and lift those around him.

His legacy will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we remember, and the love he poured so generously into every life he touched. Though he is no longer physically with us, the warmth of his spirit will be felt for generations.

William will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Will is survived by his mother, Carol Waddoups; brothers: Allen (Jane) Waddoups, Darren (Abby) Waddoups; sisters: ShaRene (Brian) Knox, Mary (Jeff) Horner, Carolee (Tyler) Teuscher; half-brothers: C.H. (Tayann) Waddoups, George (Natalie) Waddoups, Dorian Waddoups, Brian (Sue) Waddoups, Kim (Jenny) Waddoups; and half-sisters: Thais (Doug) Wells, and DeAnna (Jeff) Hardy.
