Candice Starr

March 3, 1976 — February 5, 2019

Candice Cordingley Starr of Plymouth, UT, passed away in her home lovingly surrounded by family on February 5, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was 42.

Candice was born March 3, 1976, to Kay and Janet Cordingley, in Rexburg, Idaho.  She was the baby of the family and was adored by her older sister and brother.  She was raised in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School in 1994.  Candice was an outstanding athlete who excelled in basketball, golf and cross country.  She went on to attend Idaho State University on a golf and academic scholarship, where she pursued her love of golf.  She won the Big Sky Golf Conference Championship as a Freshman, which was a great accomplishment for her.

In 1997, Candice moved to Logan where she met and married the love of her life, Brian Scott Starr.  They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan, Utah Temple.  Their love for one another was a remarkable example of selflessness, which was especially apparent in Candice’s last days.   She was a devoted mother to her three beautiful daughters who brought her great joy.  Above all,  she was their biggest fan.  Candice loved to go hunting, camping and golfing with her family and friends.  She lived for outdoor activities and being with her family, which was her greatest blessing.

Candice had a bright smile and an infectious laugh that brought others an immense amount of joy.  She was also known to be fiercely competitive.  Candice was thoughtful, loving, kind, and a loyal friend.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  #TEAMCANDICE

She is survived by her husband Brian, her daughters; McKaylee, Bailey and Hailey, her parents; Kay and Janet Cordingley, her in-laws; Chad and Sandra Starr, Craig and LeAnn Young, her siblings Lesli (Clay) Christensen and Brett (Shara) Cordingley and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 11, 2019, at the Belmont Church (16925 N 5200 W Riverside, Utah) at 11 am.  A viewing for family and friends will be held at the Belmont church on Sunday, February 10, 2019, from 5-7 p.m. and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service.  Interment will be in the Plymouth Cemetery.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received during this difficult time.
